The state of California and the cities, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, La Quinta, Indio and all other surrounding cities do not require a state license to preform a home inspection. Many states do have this requirement, California is not one of them. When you select a home inspector make sure you ask what affiliations does he or she have. (none are required). Ask how much and what training have they been through and how much continuing education have they completed in the last 12 months. CREIA Home inspectors are required at least 30 hours a year to keep their affiliation. I have over 150+ hours in that last year alone of continued education.
How Much Time & How Many Appointments:
When you are interviewing home inspectors, ask how much time will they be spending on your home inspection. Our Home Inspections typically will take a minimum of 3 hours and up to as long as it takes to get what ever information and secrets the property holds. That is why we schedule no more than one appointment per day,the inspector has no where but your home to go to that day.
